Beyond the four programmes

Small, steady ways of showing up for children, teachers and the land.

Empowering young minds

The Abacus learning initiative for students of four village schools.

“By nurturing foundational skills at a young age, the Foundation isn’t just teaching math — it’s creating a lasting social impact.”

Empowering young minds

Abacus learning

With the abacus, children add, subtract, multiply and divide in their heads by moving beads. The practice sharpens focus and working memory, and engages both sides of the brain.

We brought it to four schools: Chhatrapati Vidyalay in Sakhare, Vikramgadh High School, K. J. Jogani High School in Bhopoli and Zilla Parishad Prathamik Vidyalaya in Kharapada Pada. Teachers report sharper, more engaged learners. Fast, confident problem-solving has replaced maths anxiety with pride.

The Abacus method trains students to solve additions, subtractions, multiplications and divisions mentally, without a calculator. Moving beads by hand sharpens focus, remembering bead positions strengthens memory, and regular practice engages both hemispheres of the brain, supporting whole-brain development and sharper thinking.

The results have been transformative: marked improvements in academic performance, concentration and logical reasoning, and a newfound enthusiasm for numbers. Fast, confident problem-solving has visibly reduced math anxiety, replacing it with pride and self-assurance.

Empowering educators

Teachers’ training

We firmly believe that empowered teachers are the foundation of transformative education. As part of our commitment to strengthening education in underprivileged regions, we regularly conduct dedicated Teachers’ Training Sessions.

The workshop equips teachers with modern pedagogical tools and practical, classroom-ready strategies: interactive teaching techniques, effective student engagement, classroom management, and innovative methods that work within resource-constrained environments. Every participant receives comprehensive training materials and a certificate of participation, taking back not just knowledge, but renewed inspiration to shape the future of their students.

More than just a training programme, this initiative is a platform for growth and collaboration, where educators from diverse institutions learn from one another and network with fellow teachers.

Green roots, growing futures

Tree plantation

True education extends beyond the classroom and into our responsibility towards society and nature. Over the past few years, our students have led a tree plantation drive across multiple villages in Vikramgarh. To date they have proudly planted over 2,000 trees, contributing to ecological balance and community well-being, a testament to their love for nature, their awareness, and their sense of responsibility towards a sustainable future.

Next: a Skill Development Centre

We plan a Skill Development Centre on about four acres of land, for vocational training, employability and long-term self-reliance. Education must lead to empowerment, and empowerment must lead to independence. When access is created, potential follows.

न चोरहार्यं न च राजहार्यं न भ्रातृभाज्यं न च भारकारि । व्यये कृते वर्धत एव नित्यं विद्याधनं सर्वधनप्रधानम् ॥

Knowledge cannot be stolen by a thief, taxed by a king or divided among siblings, and it is never heavy to carry. The more we spread it, the more it grows.

Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.
